Spring Break - Part 4 - Union Station / Science City

We headed to Union Station http://www.unionstation.org/ on the afternoon of day 3.  It was beautiful.  The architecture was just incredible. It was so neat to be walking around a building that has so much history.  There were a couple restaurants, gift shops, a movie theatre, a planetarium, museum, Science City and more.  We spent most our time at Science City, but we did walk around and just take it all in.  Pictures will never show it's true beauty,  but here are a few.

Had to get a picture of the stairs used in the movie The Untouchables!

We HAD to have some chocolate!  They had everything from twinkies to
jalepeno chips dipped in chocolate!  Thatcher had a rice krispie treat!

SOOO much to do and see.  We all have fun!
Here are a few of the many pictures that I took!

We had to take a picture of this little boy....he looked like Thatcher!
His name was Jody.  He was a cutie!

Ended the evening at Fritz's Railroad Restaurant in Crown Center
http://www.fritzskc.com/  Yummy burgers!!  What is cooler than a train
delivering your food AND having it drop down on a tray that lowers to you?!

We went swimming again and then to bed.  I think we packed quite a bit into 3 days!
We came home tired and happy on Thursday!  It was a nice Spring Break!

Spring Break - Part 3 - Lego Land

Third day of trip.....Lego Land! I think all the males in the family were excited to go! It was really neat. Had a couple rides, a 4D movie, and LOTS of Lego's! Forgive the picture quality.... I took an older camera, so I wouldn't lose or damage my nice one. Kind of a bummer, after reviewing my pictures when we got home. It's about the experience though... right?!

Huge room, replicating Kansas City... all in Lego's.  Very cool!  There was also a Chiefs stadium, but I think you all know that I won't be putting any pictures of that on here!

 Yellow brick road

Emerald City

There were LOTS of dads that were building! It was cute to see all of them
intensely working on a project!

 Recognize anyone in this picture?

Build your own racer and test how fast it will go!

We were at Lego land for 3-4 hours.  We had lunch in the little cafe there,
and then headed to Union Station..... Part 4!
